Saw 4 SE owls at close range at Big Island yesterday at about 6 PM. Saw them
do the mid air strikes. They were in the field NE from the viewing platform.
Got some good looks when I took the narrow road which goes along the right
end of the field.

Also saw about 5 northern harriers, some kestrels red-tailed hawks.
Waterfowl variety was good at places particularly the ditches along 95.
Saw N. pintails, canvasbacks, redheads. Could not stay longer and
investigate all the ducks since traffic on 95 was bad and could not pull off
the road very easily.
