Went up this evening to try for the Hoary Redpoll at Steve's house in La Rue (see his post, 166 Front street is the address), but it didn't show up, not too surprising since it seems to like the feeders in the morning. I was there from 5:00 until 6:30pm. After leaving there I headed up to Killdeer Plains to look around. Found the pair of Am. White Pelicans on Pond 27, along with many ducks and birds including:

Ruddy Duck
Canvasback
Redhead
N. Pintail
Am. Wigeon
Lesser Scaup
Gadwall
N. Shoveler
Green-winged Teal
American Black Duck
Mallard
Wood Duck
Hooded Merganser
Am. Coot
Tree Swallows
Then stopped by the Sportsman's Center for:
Short-eared Owls - 4
Rough-legged Hawks -2
Northern Harrier
Red-tailed Hawk
American Woodcock - 4+
etc.
Good Birding,
  - Ben Warner
