I checked out Deer Creek again today. The White-winged Scoter was still present in the reservoir, and the Eurasian Wigeon was still in the middle wetland tract this morning. This evening the Eurasian Wigeon was briefly seen in a flooded field on the Mouser Road near the intersection with Dick Road, so it is moving around throughout the area.

Otherwise it was pretty much the same birds as a couple of days ago, although numbers are down slightly. The reservoir is much higher than only 2 days ago and fewer puddle ducks were in the reservoir. Notable new arivals today were 4 Bonaparte's Gulls. Tree Swallows were seen at both the wetlands and the reservoir in small numbers. 6 Tundra Swans remain in the wetlands, but no Snow Geese were seen today.

Mouser Road should be checked when in the area. There are some large flooded farm fields here. In the evening it can attrtact a lot of puddle ducks. It has been frozen in the mornings so far, but 6 Am Pipits were there today. If it stays flooded through the month, it can be a good place to find shorebirds.

One other noteworthy sighting today was a Savannah Sparrow in a field in the northern part of the wildlife area north iof the dam.
