Species in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS ARE REVIEW LIST SPECIES. Details of these
sightings are desired by the Ohio Bird Records Committee. Careful
observation, not ornithological expertise, is the only qualification for
submitting your data. For details and pointers see:

Rossıs Goose: One was at Big Island Wildlife Area 22-27 Mar east of Herr Rd.

Wayne County. The bird remains through 26 Mar (mult. obs.). Another has been
reported through 27 Mar at pond 27 at Killdeer Plains (mult. obs.). A third
was been reported 21-24 Mar at Big Island Wildlife Area on the east side of
Herr Rd. (Dave Lehner).

(Inga Schmidt). Another was seen at Walter C. Best Preserve in Chardon on 22
Mar (Dan Best). A fourth was at Killbuck SP on 26 Mar (Su Snyder).

COMMON RAVEN: The Common Raven in Knox County continues to be seen on and
off. Reported areas are College Rd. x Koppert Rd., and in the nearby area
along Reed Rd.

HOARY REDPOLL: Wow! Two separate birds reported this week. Iım not sure
which is a better story, so Iıll go chronologically. On 19 Mar, Steve Jones
of LaRue reported a redpoll at his feeders, which he was reasonably cautious
about calling a Hoary. After conferring with some experts, he is confident
that the bird is indeed a Hoary. Steve continued to report the bird through
23 Mar until it went missing on 24 Mar. Steve was certain it was gone, but
like some gracious act of God, the bird returned on 27 Mar! Directions from
Steve: ³As far as directions, 166 front St in LaRue turn on to Front Street
from Market street. Go across RR tracks, and it will be the 4th house on
right...It's the only green house on the street I think so you should have
no problem finding it.² Email Steve at sjones031 AT columbus.rr.com so he
knows youıre coming. The bird has been off and on 8:30-3:30.

Next, remember the Hoary Redpoll at John Pogacnikıs feeders the previous
week? Incredibly, ANOTHER individual has arrived at his feeders on 26 Mar,
but was not present the following day. His first bird was a male, and this
is a female. John will advise on the Ohiobirds listserv if it returns.
