The opened water on the south side of the Mosquito Lake causeway was larger and held more waterfowl - this afternoon.
over 100 Red-breasted Mergansers (hard to count cause they were actively diving) Common Mergansers, Hooded Mergansers,
6 Redhead Ducks, Buffleheads and Coots who were walking on the ice - . Also on the ice was a very white spotted Immature Eagle.
A Herring Gull was swooping at the Mergansers. Adult Bald Eagles around, a male Coopers hawk and a female Harrier in the fields.
