Despite the consistent rain and wind of the past few days I've managed to
spend a few hours up and down the east side of the Hoover Reservoir in
Columbus. Both days the Caspian Tern reported earlier this week was around.
I couldn't believe my luck when it decided to rest right by my car window at
the Walnut boat ramp. Not so good pic attached.......but you can clearly
see its size next to an obliging Ring-Billed gull. Others around this
morning included 30 or so Red-Breasted Mergansers and a solitary Pied Billed
Grebe.
