I saw my first turkey vultures of the season today, March 1, while working
in the vineyard on South Bass Island. There were 3 heading south.

Saw movement of American Crows yesterday afternoon, 19 heading north
followed by another 8 heading north.

Large numbers of American Goldeneye and Scaup sp. in the open water on the
east side of the island off the airstrip.
