I stopped at Fairport Harbor this evening to take advantage of the nice
weather. There was a group of about 200 Bonaparte's gulls on the water in
the harbor and an adult LITTLE GULL was amongst them. The bird was still in
winter plumage. There were quite a few ducks along the outer breakwall and
scattered through the harbor. Amongst the waterfowl was a BLACK SCOTER.
Other waterfowl present were mallard, canvasback, redhead, ring-necked duck,
greater scaup, lesser scaup, common goldeneye, bufflehead, hooded, common,
and red-breasted mergansers as well as horned and pied-billed grebes.
