arrived @ 2:45 this afternoon
8 degrees and a light drizzle,
winds mostly from west 10+ mph
 
From launch looking out to the bay 
and toward Dike 14 I saw the following
Mallards - 14
Horned Grebe - 1
Red-breasted Mergansers - 50+
Great Crested Cormorants - 10
Gulls flying everywhere and swimming
     only IDing Ring-billed and Herring
     (i looked for others here, nothing)
Canada Geese - 30-ish
 
Between the launch and the docks of
the Inner City Yacht Club was the following
Horned Grebe - 1
RBMs - 25+
Canada Geese - 10+
Gulls swimming/flying
     40+ nothing of note
 
2:45 over the the western side of ICYC
Song Sparrows - 2 fence line
Robins - 15-ish
 
Mute Swan - 1 (after 1 day absence)
Mallards - 20+ in this entire area, this side of ICYC
Horned Grebes - 3 swimming in NW corner near inner breakwall
Greater Scaup - 3
American Coot - 1 (swimming in NE curve of breakwall) 
 
In the NW corner of ICYC (against land, S of docks) were
     Horned Grebes - 14 (nice sheltered area - many sleeping)
      - you must walk out the breakwall to see them
 
On the posts of the docks were 50+ gulls
     (2 Lesser Black-backed gulls (juvs) - 8 Herring - rest RBs)
          Didn't see any Bonapartes (looked)
 
Just east of the end of the breakwall were
Great Blue Herons  - 8  ( 2 gray, 6 white) sleeping/resting
   in a tree
 
Beyond the breakwall/in open water were
Great Crested Cormorants - 100+
RBMs - 200+
Gulls, gulls gulls 100+
     mostly RBs but sprinke in some Herring
 
buster
