While birding today, I happened upon a shrike along Brock Rd. in the field
west of 8775 Brock Rd. and the row of trees to the west.

I snapped a few photos and left, but after driving off and looking at the
photos I realized it looked more like a Loggerhead than a Northern. The
photos I had didn't show this clearly, so I went back and refoudn the bird.
After getting better looks, it looks like it is indeed a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE.
For ID details, see http://www.ofo.ca/reportsandarticles/shrikeid.php

It's tricky to pull off the road here, so if you go looking please be
cautious about the traffic. The tree row might also be visible from the
metropark trail to the south east. The bird did perch in those trees on a
couple of occasions.

Good birding,
Paul Hurtado
