Coming home late yesterday I made a quick stop at Shaker Lakes
(Horseshoe). Picking around on the mudflats was
a lone rusty blackbird. Next, driving through Highland Park Cemetery,
I stopped to watch a merlin harassing
the starlings and a pair of flickers, and saw my first of year pine
warbler.
A quick loop through the new Cleveland Memorial Garden Cemetery on
Green Road, to count the ring billed gulls. 160.
Under my own feeders, (Geauga Co.) a record four fox sparrows stirring
the leaf litter, along with six white throated sparrows.
Two purple finches on the feeder.
