At about 9:45AM this morning; Jeff Harvey, my wife Denise, and myself, located the previously reported Eared Grebe at Gordon Park. We initially found it in the channel going out past the breakwall. From the boat ramp parking lot we walked east to the fence and looked back the channel toward the first wooden piling post assembly. It was constantly diving and hard to keep track of. The bird then went around the corner of the breakwall to the left and out of sight. We then drove over to 72nd Street and parked to the right by the boat basin. We refound the Eared Grebe from the breakwall on the lakeside looking back toward the channel. It was in close to the rocks.
