after a little south of the mason
dixon line get-away i am back
 
10:20 Gordon Park boat launch
39* light wind from east - drizzle
 
the following were in the bay from the
boat launch to the point on the breakwall
to Dike 14
Red-breasted Mergansers - 50-ish
Lesser Scaups - 6 (by the tire by Dike 14)
Mallards - 5
 
on the grass between parking lot and Dike 14
Canada Geese - 4
Gulls
     Ring-billed - 22
 
10:30 to west of ICYC (now light rain)
Horned Grebe - 1
Mallerd - 1
American Coots - 2
RBMs - 20-ish
Canada Geese - 4
    1st nest up breakwall still tended
    2nd nest up - close to trees now abandonded w/7 exposed eggs
 
open water
Great Crested Cormorants - 30-ish (ALL flyers today)
RBMs - 35+
 
 
swimming in water out beyond the discharge area
(plant not running)
Gulls - 25+
RBMs - 50+
 
 
11:00 to Wildwood Bay
RBMs - 6
Herring Gulls - 3
Ring-billed Gulls - 1
 in the parking lot - 
 20+ RB Gulls
 
a note on the home front (Gates Mills)
ONE solo Wild Turkey (male) yesterday
this is the second sighting - in 10 years
at my residence I have always had MANY
turkeys frequent my feeders throughout
the winter - coyotes??
