This evening Cindy Ploch reported 2 Caspian Terns at a flooded field east of Ansonia at the corner of St. Rt. 47 and Kester-Byard Road.  By the time, I got there about 6 p.m., they were gone.
There were also pectorals, gr and lesser yellowlegs and 1 spotted sandpiper, and 1 Mute Swan and 6 bluewing teal.

Between 5:00 and 6:45 p.m., I checked out several flooded fields in the northern part of the county.

On Hillgrove-Woodington Road and St. Rt. 118, there were about 
30 pectoral sandpipers
1 solitary
2 greater yellowlegs
 2 lesser yellowlegs

Two fields near Elroy west of Ansonia
5 pectorals
1 spotted sandpiper
2 greater yellowlegs
4 lesser yellowlegs

Woods Road:  
4 blue wing teal
other than killdeer no shorebirds.
nothing else besides robins, blackbirds, etc.
