April 26th, 4:30pm-6pm
We walked in on the Heron trail, not much to see but flooded wetlands (this
is where the Purple Gallinule was seen last May). Our birding improved as we
walked along the Briarwood trail and Briarwood loop.

Some highlights include:
red winged black birds, too many to count
robins, too many to count
yellow warbler male (2)
Eastern king bird (2)
Eastern Meadowlark flying away from us twice, sneaky bird! (1)
Eastern bluebird male and female together on a bird box (1 pr)
Unknown bird- would like help in identifying this. 3rd bird picture on my
photostream. We are only amateur birders despite having the Audubon Field
Guide for the Eastern region, we are not always sure of the id. Any help is
appreciated!
