   There was a brilliant (and co-operative) scarlet tanager at Lakeview 
yesterday afternoon on both sides of the footbridge over the stream in the 
Nature Walk area, adjacent to the upper pond.  I know there is lots of drive-by 
birding at the cemetery but this bird wouldn't have been visible from any of the 
paved roads.  It hung around for at least 30 minutes before I got into a 
conversation with some folks I met and lost track of it.  Two photos here:
