Quick note to say the four Surf Scoters were still present before noon today.  in addition, there was a female Black Scoter at the same location.  There was a nice diversity of other waterfowl, including GWFG, G. Scaup, and Mute Swan.



I could not locate the male Black Scoter at the Wilderness Road location.  But, there was a delightful diversity of birds,  including Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs and Swan (Tundra, I believe).

We found the Red-necked Grebe at Deer Creek Wetlands just now.  It appears to just be coming out of winter plumage.

I tried to snap some pictures with my cell phone through the scope.  I'll see if any are recognizable when I get home and post any that are respectable.

What a great find.  Thanks to Bob Royce for posting this a few days ago.
