Making my local rounds in Bainbridge, I drove into Frohring Meadows, and
found a male Northern Harrier gliding over the fields. Hopping out to
watch, I
saw another Harrier, a female or juvenile bird

In the strong winds, most birds were hugging the ground, but I did find
6 Wilson's Snipe hanging around the edge of the grass in a low
spot that made a puddle. They flew off into the marsh grasses.

Also, Savannah Sparrows, first of year, maybe five, and three Eastern
Meadowlarks. One Sharp Shinned Hawk kept a flock of Starlings moving.

Stopped at the Geauga Park Property on Country Lane next, to check on
the old
Great Horned Owl roost. I did find some pellets, but they didn't seem
recent.
While there I saw a Yellow Bellied Sapsucker, being chased around by a
Downy
Woodpecker.

At home, Hooded Mergansers have been here two days in a row. Three
yesterday,
and two this morning.

Also, a kestrel has been hunting in the fields here since March 22.
