Saw a small "duck" when I parked this morning at work. It was floating
roughly in the middle of the main pond at Tri-C West off of
Pleasant-Valley Rd. When I approached I was delighted to see that it
was a pied-billed grebe. This pond attracts some gulls (mainly
ring-billed), Canada geese and mallards along with lots of killdeer but
this is the first "interesting" bird I've seen there. It was still there
around 5:30pm when I left.
