Okay, I just have to state the obvious here, but I came and went twice
yesterday to see the Kirtlands and the "Wow!" buzz among the viewers is
something with this sighting. The first time I was there you didn't even need
binoculars for good views for part of the time because it was low on the
north side of the tree 30 feet away and posing (and fighting with a Yellow
Warbler at one point). Of course I didn't have a camera at my first visit! I
and others I talked to there cannot believe it was this easy to get this
lifer... now if I could only get a decent photo... Might go back today.

Anyway, I've seen a couple reports of White Crowned Sparrows on here --
thought I'd report that I've had a couple scuffling the ground below my
feeders for the past couple days. Fun to watch and a beautiful bird.

Also I have a M & F pair of White Throats hanging around a lot; I've
observed them seemingly looking over nooks and crannies in trees together -- Is
that nest site behavior or food search behavior? or both? Its very
interesting to watch. Hoping they are nesting nearby.
