We have a pair of red shouldered hawks that have been working a nest in a
dead pine tree behind our garage. This weekend the first of the eggs
hatched. A quick look on the way to work this morning suggested that there
might be 2 babies in the nest.

On an unrelated note, we had our first hummingbird of the year at the
feeders last night.

We take both as signs that spring might really be upon us.
