There were quite a few migrants passing by yard in North Perry this morning.
There was a huge movement of swallows with all of the regulars being seen.
I did not do well with warbler variety, but there were numerous yellow
warblers, the most I have seen in my yard in years. Birds of note today
were ruby-throated hummingbird (at least 6), red-eyed vireo, great crested
flycatcher, Swainson's thrush, SUMMER TANAGER (it flew by the feeders, but
didn't stay) indigo bunting, Baltimore oriole (4), Lincoln's sparrow (4),
and white-crowned sparrow (5). I also ended up with 5 species of finches
with a late COMMON REDPOLL amongst a flock of siskins, house finch and
goldfinches and at least 5 purple finches. There were again a lot of
goldfinches and siskins migrating. Today was the first significant blue jay
flight with a few hundred passing by.

The four tundra swans that have been hanging around North Perry were still
around today.
