You can't keep migrants down continually. Despite the rain (or maybe because of it), there was a modest fallout of neotropical migrants at this metropark north of Columbus this morning. I only had a bit over an hour and hiked the main ravines sections along the Dripping Rock Trail. While numbers weren't overwhelming, there was a steady changeover of birds, with decent diversity. Quite a few appeared to be recently-arrived residents. Notables included:

Wild Turkey - 1 was calling along the trail, while another was hanging around the Nature Center feeders

Flycatchers - E.WoodPewee (10+), Acadian (14+), Gr.Crested (2), Phoebe

Vireos - Red-eyed (10+), Yellow-throated (2)

Thrushes - Swainson's (10+), Wood (2-3 singing, likely residents)

Warblers - Yellow, Parula (2), Tennessee (2), Magnolia (7+), Chesnut-sided (2), Bl.-thr.Green, Yellow-throated, Blackpoll (2), Black&White, Am.Redstart (4), Ovenbird (2), La.Waterthrush, Hooded (4), Com.Yellowthroat (5), Kentucky (1 singing near Nature Center)

Tanagers - Scarlet (5), Summer (3)

Buntings,Grosbeaks - Indigo Bunting (4)

Sparrows - Chipping, Field (3), White-throated (2), White-crowned
