Beautiful Friday -- arrived just before noon and birded the boardwalk until about 8 PM. Highlight was very cooperative MOURNING WARBLER near the loop/circle, most of the day.

Warblers (17 spp)
 - Tennessee, Nashville, Parula, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, BTB, BTG, Blackburnian, Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, Prothonotary, Redstart, MOURNING, Com. Yellowthroat, Wilson's, and Canada (best yr for canadas in 10 yrs)

Strange to see such an abscence of the 'early' migrants, such as Palm and Yellow-rumped -- and to see such mature foliage...this the first year we've come so late in May.

Hoping for another shot at CT and Kirtland's tomorrow!!

See you on the boardwalk!!
