arrived @ 1:50 to 43* and steady drizzle
stiff winds from the north 
 
parked in farthest east lot and walked the
area from about 100 yds west of the last
lot along the treeline to out to the breakwall
and all in and out of the area adjacent to the
coast guard station (including the driveway all
the way to the gate) - walk ended @ 3:20
 
Eastern Towhee - 8 (minimum)
Bald Eagle - 1 (imm flushed with lunch)
Song Sparrow - 3
Killdeer - 4
Yellow Warbler - 2
Brown Thrasher - 1
White-throated Sparrow - 2
Gray Catbird - 12 (at least)
Blue Gray Gnatcatcher - 3
Pine Warbler - 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 5
Northern Flicker - 1
Red-headed Woodpecker - 1
White-crowned Sparrow - 1
 
in my backyard in Gates Mills (in the
meeting place of Cuyahoga, Lake and
Geauga Counties) i have observed the 
following today
Dark-eyed Juncos (will nest here)
Pileated Woodpeckers
Red-bellied Woodpeckers
Hairy + Downy Woodpeckers
Flickers
WB Nuthatches
RT Hummingbirds
RB Grosbeaks (passing thru)
Purple Finches
House Finches Goldfinches
Wild Turkeys (the male was "shakin" it at the female today!)
Chimney Swifts
Red-shouldered Hawks (nest in neighborhood)
 
and the "usual suspects"
