NO! This is not a chasable bird.

A friend of mine has just informed me that she had a Black-headed
Grosbeak at her feeder on Wed. and again yesterday morning. The bird
has not been seen since yesterday morning. It was feeding at her
safflower seed feeder and a suet feeder. It was in the company of a
Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Both were very handsome males. My friend is
not a 'birder' but has a nice bird feeding station and checked the
bird's identity in her bird guides and on the internet. She is quite
sure of the identity and convinced me that is what she had. The
feeder station is in Gahanna which is a suburb on the eastern side of
Columbus, a bit north of the airport.

The reason I'm sending this out is just to alert everyone to keep an
eye out for a Black-headed Grosbeak. Think beyond the box when you
see all those grosbeaks at your feeders!

Good birding!
