Some highlights from atlasing in far NE Ohio the last few days -- in Mahoning Co., McKelvey L. area, Youngstown/Campbell on 6/5-6/6:  red-shouldered hawk, e. wood-pewees, willow flycatcher, great crested flycatchers, red-eyed vireos, n. rough-winged swallow, tree swallows, house wrens, e. bluebirds, wood thrushes, e. towhees, scarlet tanagers, rose-breasted grosbeaks, indigo bunting, bobolinks, and e. meadowlarks.  In Poland/Coitsville Twps.:  Cooper's hawk, drumming pileated woodpecker, e. wood-pewee, e. bluebirds, n. mockingbird, hooded warbler, rose-breasted grosbeaks, and purple finch.  In Trumbull Co., at the Milligan Rd. access at Shenango WA on 6/7:  2 collared trumpeter swans, wood ducks, great blue herons, green herons, ad. bald eagle, spotted sandpiper, 2 migrant semipalmated sandpipers, e. wood-pewee, willow flycatcher, e. phoebe, warbling vireo, red-eyed vireo, tree swallow, house wren, wood thrush, cedar waxwing, c. yellowthroats,
 scarlet tanager, rose-breasted grosbeak, swamp sparrows, and Baltimore oriole.  In rural E Ashtabula Co. 6/7:  Am. kestrel, e. wood-pewees, yellow-throated vireo, warbling vireo, red-eyed vireos, horned lark, e. bluebirds, wood thrush, Am. redstarts, hooded warblers, scarlet tanager, e. meadowlark, and Baltimore orioles.  I also checked Conneaut harbor yesterday afternoon after the t-storms.  No migrant shorebirds were there.  The water level ranged from extremely high to high, depending on the winds and perhaps the earlier rains.  Birds of interest there were bald eagle, imm. Bonaparte's gull, 2 Caspian terns, belted kingfishers, willow flycatcher, and bank swallows.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
