Hello Ohio Birders,
At 3:15 pm today at Conneaut I saw a least bittern fly across the west end of the small inlet south of the beach area (at the observation platform). As for other birds at and behind the beach, not much: one each least sandpiper and semipalmated plover, 2 caspian terns, a bald eagle, bank and barn swallows, one marsh wren, lots of ring-billed gulls, bathers, beachers and dogs.
Conneaut continues to be a good stop if you're driving I-90 anyway.
Good birding to all,
Dave Horn
