Stopped by Darby Bend Lakes at Prairie Oaks while mopping up some OBBA2 species and had very little in the heat. Also stopped at the Clover cemetery wetlands (off Alton-Darby Creek Rd) with similar low bird activity. Notables included:
Green Heron - 1 at Clover wetlands, another at Darby Bend lakes
Shorebirds - lots of Kildeer, little else. Clover had Spotted, DBL had Solitary sandpipers. Not much mudflat in either location.
Red-headed Woodpecker - an adult was along the snag line at Darby Bend Lakes
Swallows - disappointingly light, with a few Barns and Purple Martins at both locations. Darby Bend Lakes also had a few Tree Swallows and Cliff Swallows.
E.Kingbirds - 1-2 at each location
Yellow Warblers - still 2 singing at Darby Bend Lakes; 1 not singing at Clover
