The CVNP is a dud when it comes to this wonderful site.  Some volunteers have offered to pay to have a path mowed around the perimeter from spring to fall and the answer was no.  With so many birders in northern Ohio, we could raise funds in a jiff for at least 2 observation towers at each end. But its not in the cards at this point, unless someone has received new info from the new administrator?

PS, Sedge wrens were there on 6/30 along with the other grasslanders.

I walked around the outside of the field and then part way through the
middle section following the deer trails. You can tell when you are close to
a group of nests. The birds are obvious; so, you can give them a wide berth
and use binoculars. (I could not see much from the small hill near the road
today, which is why I walked around.)

Are they any plans by the National Park to make a trail around the area or
through half of it to keep half only for the birds? That would keep people
on one path. A little better parking area would be nice, too. There was one
vehicle on the old road in the SW corner of the field and no room for other
cars. I had to park off 303.
