i hit euclid beach park yesterday afternoon
@ 4:30. it was 72* with strong winds from
the north (and slightly west). waves 3+ feet
for sure.
walked starting @ restrooms to the feral cat
community, down thru the woods to the shore,
over to the pier, along the beach all the way
to the restrooms @ VA, then back up the walkway.
Terns - 2 (either Forster's and/or Common)
too far away to positively ID
Turkey Vultures - 2
Barn Swallows - 30+ (more closer to Euc Creek)
Ring-billed Gulls - 50+ (in 2 groups along beach -
half in Euc Beach, other at far eastern end)
Herring Gulls - 6 (1 adult - 5 imms)
Cedar Waxwings - 3
American Robin - 2
it was probably too windy/wavy for shorebirds today
on the beaches/shore. only flying birds were the swallows
and an occasional gull (although the terns were both
fly-bys)
buster
