Sorry for the late report.  I just got a call from Robert Hershberger.  He's updated the Bobolink RBA.  I'm lazy tonight and will not update the recording that is already on my website.  But here's a summary of the details of the latest information: An ANHINGA was seen west of Walnut Creek, OH yesterday (8/28) afternoon flying in a northwesterly direction.  Robert mentioned that there was another report of this bird as well.  Birders in Ohio would be wise to stay alert to unusual sightings over the next couple days.  Anybody further north, let us know if you are lucky enough to refind this bird!

I suspect the with the northerly winds we've had that we should see a decent influx of shorebirds and early warblers.  For those of you who are interested, I've done a quick summary of Hurricane Irene's bird sightings along the East Coast on my blog.  Wish I was out birding instead of just reading about birds.  haha.  But that is better than nothing.  Congrats to all the adventuresome birders in the East who braved the elements for some wild birding and great reports.
