As has been the case for the past ten years our resident Warbling Vireos
resumed singing yesterday (August 30) after about 4 weeks of silence. They
nest annually in a small woodlot next to a pond within a hundred feet of our
residence so we have been able to observe them closely over the years. Some
years the male will continue daily vocalizations until nearly October 1st.
