Just outside the great "city" of LaRue this morning, I was watching the
Pleiades meteor shower...at 3 in the morning. There are some really
great fireworks this past couple of nights, the next two nights will
have the most shooting stars, the moon will block the faint ones, but
like spring warblers, there are some that are showy enough to outshine
the moon, and the whole month will be showy. :-D

BUT

At one point around 3:30 am the world got quiet and the only sounds were
the crickets and what appeared to be 4 screech owls calling to one
another...I know there was at least three, but a fourth started calling
in a different place...but it could have been one of the previous that
had moved a couple hundred yards.

Also later on in the morning, a GHO started hooting back in the trees
somewhere...wish I could go into the woods I heard them at, but the land
is posted. :-(

Oh well, tonight it is more shooting star action, and hopefully more
owls asa well.

Later,

Steve
