It was a pleasant, albeit windy afternoon at the Lorain Impoundment.

The mudflats on the south side yielded lots of peeps, both Semi and
Least. A Bairds SP was all over the place
but we did get some great views from directly in front of us. Also, a
single Snowy Egret was seen on both sides
as it flew back an forth. The usual ducks and shorebirds also made
their appearances.

We scoped out the north side just before I left at about 3:30. The best
2 species were a Ruddy Turnstone and a
Western Sandpiper.

Also, a few few folks there reported up to 9 species of warbler,
including a Mourning in the woods on the south west
side.

See you on the trails,

Chris Pierce
