I was at Conneaut harbor most of yesterday.  There were several other birders around, it was good to have some company there.  The beach crowd never got big enough to chase off all the birds.  There were some better feeding spots for shorebirds, so they were a more continual presence.  Seen yesterday were: 9 double-crested cormorants, great blue herons, 2 green herons, 28 turkey vultures, 3 bald eagles, 14 killdeers, 7 semipalmated plovers, spotted sandpiper, 5 lesser yellowlegs, 3 ruddy turnstones, sanderling, 7 semipalmated sandpipers (first juv.), 6 least sandpipers, pectoral sandpiper, 7 short-billed dowitchers, Bonaparte's gull, 7 Caspian terns, 2 Forster's terns, belted kingfisher, bank & barn swallows, and yellow warblers.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
