Tidbits passed along from other birders: (Suzanne Wagner): The Black-throated Gray Warbler has been seen by MULTIPLE groups. It spends its time within goldenrod, feeding low, and in just-above-eye-level sumac. It originally was spending time in association with some Cape May Warblers but as of around 4 pm it has been "lone." Observers have been able to stand quietly watching the bird, without attempting to actually approach it, and the bird has approached THEM up to TWO FEET AWAY. One birder/photographer shot over 2000 photos of this apparent ADULT MALE bird, at point blank range. Tere is no reason to attempt to get close to this individual. If you are patient, and quiet and non-invasive, it appears that the bird will work its way along the brushline at close range, allowing great views. It is not necessary to invade this bird's space. As Steve Landes already stated, it is not skittish, so we can all appreciate that and not push it any further! Awesome. Life and state birds for many, and just a purely brilliantly-marked bird.
cheers and best of birding - JB

> The bird is currently being observed by many birders at close range. It is definitely not skittish. Foraging in sumac and goldenrod about 50 yds east of the parking area for the east beach.
> Good luck!
