Yesterday while banding at Springville Marsh State Nature Preserve, we had
an unusual experience. About 10:00 AM, a small group (3-5) of small parrots
came flying in over the parking lot chattering away like crazy. We thought
we were in the tropics for a second. No idea on the species or where they
came from. Obviously they were escapes from some where. They were not Monk
Parakeets which have been observed in the area before. These were a smaller
green parrot. It happened so fast we didn't see much color or shape.

Keep your eyes and ears open. Any explanations?
