The back loop of the goldenrod (Pet) trail had 14 warblers this morning
between 7:30 and 9am.
Connecticut (adult male) Another long and relatively close look as it
joined an Ovenbird on an open limb and then proceeded to pose, then walk
slowly along the branch, change branches and pose some more.
Shortly after spotting the Ct. warbler, the house wren, carolina wren and
titmouse all started doing alarm calls at the same time. What a great way
to get a huge crowd of warblers together. Interestingly, two ovenbirds
participated in the mobbing, but I did not see the Ct. warbler in the mob.
