From the high bluff at Sunset Park in Willoughby, from 7:45 am to 11
am, I.Krise, D. Gesualdo, and I saw 8 jaegers. Four were identifiable
as Parasitic Jaegers and four were left unidentified (either Parasitic
or Long-tailed). Majority were immature intermediate/dark types and
two were possible subadults. Winds were sustained 20mph+ out of the
NNE. Massive waves and whitecaps. Most jaegers were shearing.

A variety of waterbirds passing included Caspian and Common Terns,
Blue-winged Teal and Northern Shovelers, Sanderling, cormorants. Also,
3 Bald Eagles, a Peregrine, and several dozen Barn Swallows.

Jerry Talkington had another jaeger pass Mentor Lagoons but it was
unidentifiable to species.

Best of birding
