Walked part way around the dike with Irene Krise. 
The winds were tremendous and the birds were mostly hunkered down.

No Phalaropes but  some  good sightings nonetheless.
We had a couple of Stilts, 3 S-B Dowitchers, Greater and Lesser 
Yellowlegs, Spotted, Semi and Least SP, and Semi Plovers. As the light was 
waning, 

a couple of Whimbrels touched down and foraged around the mudflats near the
parking lot.
