Lorain Impoundment, Lorain, Ohio
Observers: Bill Deininger, Bob Finkelstein, Paula Lozano, Toni Salvadori

When we arrived, Larry Richardson directed our attention to the Whimbrels feeding in the grassy area between the 
west dike and the parking lot. In addition, he told us what he had seen in the east ponds and NW woodlot. 

Our group's highlights included:
Green-winged Teal
Common Gallinule
Plovers: Semipalmated,Killdeer
Sandpipers: Spotted, Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs, Whimbrel 2, Semipalmated, Least, White-rumped 1, Stilt 3, Short-billed Dowitcher
Red-necked Phalarope 1
Flycatchers: Eastern Wood-Pewee 1, Yellow-bellied 1, Least 1
Vireos: Warbling 1,Philadelphia 1,Red-eyed 1
Warblers: Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Blackburnian, Blackpoll, American Redstart, Wilson's


 
NOTE: 
Workmen were putting orange fencing in place to restrict access to the dike. By the time we left,
NO TRESPASSING signs were appearing along the perimeter.
