This afternoon there were two Sandhill Cranes in Pintail Marsh at
Pickerington Ponds Metro Park. Pintail Marsh is in the Fairfield County
portion of the park. These are probably the same two birds which have been
reported several times in Arrowhead Marsh, in the Franklin County portion of
the park. I estimate the two locations to be about three-quarters of a mile
apart.

The only other birds in Pintail Marsh were one Great Egret, plus a number of
Mallards and Wood Ducks.

The mudflats near the Ellis Pond viewing deck are getting a little larger as
the water level falls, but today there were only two Solitary Sandpipers and
a Killdeer there.
