The Saturday morning birding group of Bob Greene, Bob Krajeski, my wife Denise, and myself; have had a productive fun morning in the almost constant light rain. We have had The Sandpit to ourselves except one visit from a Port Authority truck, and one lady photographer. We have recorded about 30 species of birds. The highlights have been: Conneaut Swamphen~1 female, Black-crowned Night-Heron~1 juvenile, Peregrine Falcon~1, Sora~1, Black-bellied Plover~1, American Golden-Plover~1, American Avocet~1, Greater Yellowlegs~2, Sanderling~3, Semipalmated Sandpiper~1, Western Sandpiper~1, Least Sandpiper~5, Pectoral Sandpiper~6, Buff-breasted Sandpiper~1, Caspian Tern~20+, Forster's Tern~1, Malibu Pigeon~10, Ruby-crowned Kinglet~3, and Yellow Warbler~2. It is presently 10:45AM and things are still active.Bob Lane
