That is a very good bird for Ohio and I wondered if anybody has been there to try and confirm its presence????

Worth checking if you live nearby, especially appreciated by myself and others as it would be a state bird for us. Reports positive or negative are good. [...]37_7Oct201118:37:[log in to unmask]

Brad Phillips has asked me to post the following sightings:

Thursday Sept 29, 2011, five Snow Buntings were brilliantly illuminated by
a rare glimpse of sunlight as they passed over Berlin Heights (39B6CW) in
late afternoon.

Sunday morning, Oct 2, five Winter Wrens were found at Edison Woods
within a half hour walk, along with many kinglets of both species. White
Throated Sparrows were also present.

Also Sunday- A lone Snow Goose was foraging with 40 Canada geese by a pond
on State Route 61, just north of Berlin Heights.
