About 1:40 this afternoon I saw a mature bald eagle flying over Mayfield Rd. to
the southwest, coming out of Lakeview cemetery about halfway up the hill above
Little Italy, on a course which, if held, might have taken it near to the
northern portion of the Cuyahoga Valley where they've been reported lately.
Still working and in traffic I couldn't attempt a photo but it was a beautiful
sight in that part of town. Other lakefront shots from yesterday (streaming RB
mergansers) and earlier in the week (horned grebes) can be seen here, and on the

Also in Lakeview yesterday saw several cedar waxwings mid-day, having seen none
there for months.
