Quick highlights of a lakewatch from Sheffield Lake (Lorain Co.) 0815-1200:
Common Goldeneye 1
Pomarine Jaeger 1 juv. & quite dark; heading west only 100 yds. out around 1100
Lesser Black-backed Gull 1 2nd-cycle
Bonaparte's Gull 2404
swallow sp. flying east; just couldn't get enough on this bird, but we must be careful not to call all November swallows Caves - a N. Rough-winged Swallow was observed just this morning at Ashtabula by Brumfield, et. al.; likewise, Lorain Harbor has hosted Nov. rough-wingeds the past two falls
Yesterday, a first-yr Iceland Gull was offshore here.
Heading out on a swallow search now.
