Black Swamp Bird Observatory is pleased to announce that we're adding a
second Lake Erie Pelagic trip.

Saturday, November 19th, 2011
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Leaving from the Cleveland Flats
Leaders: Mark Shieldcastle, Gabe Leidy, Keith Lott, and Andy Jones
Cost is $25 per student and $49 per adult.
For more details and to register online, visit the BSBO website:
http://www.bsbobird.org/events/lake_erie_pelagics.htm
<http://www.bsbobird.org/events/lake_erie_pelagics.htm%20>
Or you can call BSBO at (419) 898-4070 and we can register you over the
phone.

BSBO has been doing these trips for a couple years and they've become very
popular. We'd decided to offer just one this year (in the past we'd offered
two or three) since Jen Brumfield and Local Patch were offering two of their
own this year and we weren't sure if there would be enough demand for more.
To see photos of the very successful Local Patch pelagic, visit Jen's
website at: http://northnw.wordpress.com/photos/jaegers/parasitic-jaeger/

Since we weren't sure if there would still be enough demand, we opted to do
just one. But, Holy Cow! We sold out our first one really quickly, and we've
been inundated with calls asking why we were cutting back. So we thought,
"What the heck. We'll offer another one!" We've already got people
registered (and we haven't really announced it yet), so if you want to join
us on the 19th, sign up pretty quick.

I'd like to give a shout out to Bob Faber. Offering these pelagic trips was
Bob's idea, and he brought it to BSBO to see if we'd be willing to partner
with him to make them possible. Bob's been great to work with and we really
appreciate his wonderful idea. It's given a lot of people the opportunity
to enjoy Ohio's winter birds in a really "cool" new way.

Good Birding,
