At 8 o'clock this morning the flock of 10 Sandhill cranes was heading west over the grain elevators area. At the same time an adult Bald eagle was flying over the wetlands and than perched on the tall tree at Kuhlwein rd for an hour. Also, it was 3 Northern harriers, several Meadowlarks, several flocks of Horned larks, Bonaparte's gulls. On the north pond I found 1 Coot, 1 Bufflehead, 5 Ruddy ducks, and 2 Dunlins. At another pond it was a group of 6 Shovelers. Many Savannah sparrows at the field, some Song and Tree Sparrows at the parking lot. It was a Marsh wren on the east side of the big pond. On my way back going north at the Darby creek road I saw 2 American kestrels on the wires.
