Many thanks to Matt, Laura, and Kent for their directions.

We wandered around between the feed mill and the Kidron Pizza Shop for maybe an hour, then ran into an Amish birder behind the pizza shop who has been watching them off and on all year, since spring.

There were four birds, just as promised, and they flew in to roost about 3:30. I would have missed them had he not been there.

They have been roosting regularly in a large evergreen about 100 yards behind the pizza shop parking lot, next to the barn. We parked in the lot, as it was closed. Walking behind the white fence and looking east, away from the shop, the barn and largest evergreen are in plain view through bare trees.

They flew in from the north, circled around, and settled in to the deciduous trees beside their roost tree. Got some shots through my scope. It was my son's life bird #98. -- thanks to the unnamed birder without whose help I'd have almost certainly whiffed.
